Few years ago, Nusa Dua beach was nothing like it is now. Nowadays, Nusa Dua area is famous for world class resorts and luxurious restaurants. For tourists who are bored with regular beaches, don’t worry because you can still find many beautiful beaches in Nusa Dua Area that might not sound too familiar, but still definitely worth to visit such as:
1. GEGER BEACH
This white sand beach is perfect for you to play around with family and friends due to its calmer current compared with Kuta Beach, though you still need to be careful because in the evening, the current may sometimes become rougher. Geger Beach is quite a famous beach so you don’t need to worry that you might get hungry because there are many cafes along the seashore that you can stop by. You can enjoy your food and beer while watching the seaweed farmers working or watching the experienced surfers ride the waves.
Waterblow is famous due to, literally, water blowing and crashing against limestone and reef on this beach. Besides famous for being tourist attraction, Waterblow is also famously used as pre-wedding photo taking venue. Upon your arrival to Waterblow, you will see a warning sign that writes : Do not swim, dangerous shore break, high surf, Sudden drop off, slippery rock, sharp coral and high current. Please take this warning seriously. Though the man-made pathway looks quite steady, please be careful because there are no lifeguards around and for you the strength and height of the wave might be too hard for smaller kids. Oh and don’t forget to bring spare clothes because you definitely will get wet here.
3. TANJUNG BENOA BEACH
Tanjung Benoa beach used to be known as fisherman’s village, but lately, you might be familiar with its name because this is the place where you can find and play many different water sport activities. You can try out different level of extremity of water sport here. From relatively tamer ones like Glass Bottom Boat, Snorkeling and Seawalk, to more adrenaline challenging such as Flying Fish, Parasailing, Jet Ski and Fly Board. 4. PURA GEGER BEACH
Pura Geger is Bali’s religious site that you can visit while you are in Nusa Dua area, but please remember to wear decent clothes before entering this tranquil and beautiful landmark. Pura Geger Beach is located right behind this temple and prepare to be surprised to find a clean and white sand beach there. Pura Geger Beach is relatively quieter than other beaches, with decent food vendors around to keep you energized after swimming or sunbathing. Due to its secluded location, surrounded by luxurious resorts with breathtaking temple as the main focus, this place is also perfect for your photo session.
